Welcome to the Notepad++ Documentation Site
Notepad++ is a free (as in "free speech" and also as in "free beer") source code editor and Notepad replacement that supports several languages. Running in the MS Windows environment, its use is governed by GPL License.
The goal of this site is to provide the updated online document in multi-language with user friendly interface.

You can help the Notepad++ community by translating this online document into your language. You just need to register on the site, then apply for the role of "Translator." Your application will be reviewed by the site managers.

ATTENTION
Firstly I would like to thank all the people that have helped to make the documentation better. It has been a great few years helping Don with this translation site. Don has become increasingly involved in fighting Spam installers in NP++ and has consumed much of his time. Don feels the translation has not moved as quickly and as thoroughly as he had hoped and so he has decided to put translation on hold. Therefore my services are no longer necessary. It has been a pleasure serving in this small way and I hope to continue to be involved in the future.

RECENT NEWS: 11/12/11
My recent efforts have focused on the workflow and I know it is still a little "clunky", I still haven't any Drupal takers on helping with the workflow. Several new translators have applied and been accepted. You should have received emails informing you. If you see the translate tab then you are a translator. There have also been some spam submissions but I believe these have been worked out. I have updated the "Translator Notes" which will hopefully give you the added information you need. Please feel free to use the contact form to ask me anything about the translation. THIS IS NOT A SUPPORT SITE. DO NOT ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT HOW TO DO SOMETHING WITH NOTEPAD++. YOUR REQUESTS WILL BE IGNORED.

Work has begun on getting the translation going. If you have applied for the role of translator previously you should have received an email asking you to indicate your continued interest. If you have any questions or comments please contact me by any of my contact info. If you have been given the role of translator, click on Create Content and fill out a "Documentation Team Profile"
If you are knowledgeable in Drupal especially using rules or in streamlining translation workflow and want to help in that way, contact me. I look forward to working with you as we make Notepad++ the best documented text editor ever.
